If I had a second body, I would decorate it like Kat von D. Even though I do not share her taste in style (or men for that sake), I think she is very beautiful, and I just love her tattoos.

I don’t think I would ever get the courage to go all in with tattoos like her though. I only have two tattoos, but is currently planning a third. Sometimes it could be fun to be a walking piece of art, but I think my look is too clean to match this many tattoos.
It seems like tattoos become more and more accepted – even within the fashion industry. Last summer Chanel launched fake tattoos for the ladies, and this summer Louis Vuitton is decorating the men on the runway with the LV logo. And I think we are all familiar with Freja Beha and Erin Wasson’s tattoos from different add campaigns.

Thierry Mugler is taking it further on both the runway and in the add campaigns this year. At Paris Fashion week Rich Genest a.k.a. Zombie Boy was debuting on the runway for Thierry Mugler and is also featuring in the add campaigns for the brand. He is covered head to toe in living-dead tattoos.
Personally I love that the fashion industry is getting less and less preppy, and portraying a larger variety of models – like when Karl Lagerfeld shot an editorial for V Magazine with a plus size, half naked model. Even though I love (and some times live for) the fashion dream of looking perfect everyday, covered in couture, the reality is another story. And combined with the power of the fashion industry, and therefore, in my opinion, their obligation to feature different types of people for the consumer to relate to, I think that the looks become even more interesting, and is telling an even better story, with a model that are allowed to show an obvious personality.
And Thierry Mugler definitely shows that even a man tattooed in his face to look like a skull with the brain showing, still looks like a dream (and not a nightmare) in the right tuxedo.
