I’ve always had a weakness for Givenchy. Their dark and dramatic universe, lots of black leather and androgynous silhouettes.  I was therefore caught by surprise when seeing their ss12 collection – though, not negatively.

The delicate pastels, the light and silky fabrics –  It’s like having a lucid dream you just don’t want to wake up from.

This skirt is truly amazing – but so is the price. It can be yours for 2027€ at LUISAVIAROMA. I don’t know about you, but  I’ll just keep on dreaming.

One of Carine Roitfeld’s first job after leaving French Vogue is styling and editing the Barneys New York Fall 2011 ad campaign shot by Mario Sorrenti. The campaign is called Carine’s World, which turns out to be a very appropriate name since Mme Roitfeld is staring the campaign herself together with her kids and other fashion icons.

I am not particular impressed by Carine’s post-Vogue debut, but I am still looking forward to see the rest of the shots of Victoire de Castellane, Dasha Zhukova, Noami Campbell, and Marie Amelie Suave, and hope the campaign makes more sense to me then.

Another Carine project I, on the other hand, is really excited about is her 72-page, Elizabeth Taylor inspired spread for V Magazine’s September issue shot by Mario Testino. Get a pre-view here:

I have never been a huge fan of Beyoncé’s music – true, on the dance floor I am working it, but it is not something I am listening to at home. I would love to adopt her style though, and in her new video Run the world (Girls) she is looking more fab than ever. Like in this shot, wearing Givenchy couture.

I love head pieces, and this one may be a bit over the top, but none the less amazing.

If I owned this Jean Paul Gaultier dress, I would probably not let it come this close to water, and my legs would probably not (read: definitely not!) look this great.

The next time I am taking my cat for a walk I wish to be wearing Alexander McQueen too.

I would not mind at all to be trapped in the burning hot desert, as long as I was wearing this Gareth Pugh dress and heels. Look at those heels – amazing!

These Laruicci nails are to die for, and just made the top of my wish list.

See more fantastic looks from Norma Kamali, Emilio Pucci and Alexander Wang in the video. It is a very beautiful video, weather you like the music or not.
