I have been searching for a a pair of boots that will allow me to go from Boho-chic to Rock-chick in a heartbeat. The kinda boots that looks as fabulous with a skater skirt as with skinny jeans. You know what I mean?

Last week I found them! I stumbled across them in Notabene, who inarguably carry a persuasively selection of boots, pumps and stilettos, but I was taken by surprise when I found that my new found love was from Paco Gil… A brand I have (until now) paid litlle to none attention. There looks is classic but with understaded but edgy details. The best part is that the price is just below mid-range and the quality is equal to the pricy high-end brands, gotta love that! -These babies retails for 1.799 DKK

 All I want for christmas is this (and might I say) modest little assembly. Isn’t it perfect?

I would wear it both as a chic holiday look and as an understated yet chic christmas-party outfitt.

It’s wardrobe pieces like these that I should start collecting, updated versions of good old classics that you’ll always know how to wear and want to wear!

One of my favorite time-diversions is searching for and looking at different inspirational sites on the internet. I am not fuzzy, more  all consuming; from fashionable street styles to different kinds of blogs, shops and magazines. I am addicted. But I have to admit that sometimes these sites have a tendency of making me feel more depressed than inspired & uplifted.

All those gorgeous, perfect people with their beautiful, and not to mention expensive, bags, shoes, jewelry and designer clothing… Never do they seem to wear the same outfit more than once, they always look flawless and they NEVER EVER seem to  run out of cash!

At the risk of repeating myself and coming to sound like a grumpy old record; I can’t keep up with these fortunate people! I am a student and sadly this entails living off of a a very restricted student budget.

But restricted as it may be, it does have it’s perks. Because to me, nothing beats the intoxicating feeling of finally being able to buy that special something I’ve been craving after months of saving & selling! And this my friends, is how I today, FINALLY, have become the owner of this beautiful Proenza Schouler PS11 Classic bag. 

Now, I might have to survive off of oxygen and H20 for while, but that’s okay, cause’ I got what I wanted –  and who could ask for more!!??I

I have slowly (but determined) fallen in love with berry red and pink hues. A bold choice yes, but mixed with classic wardrobe pieces or street cool sneakers and caps, I think it really rocks! I admit that it wasn’t until Celine took their take on the good old girly pink, that I was really convinced…Sometimes you just need to see old things in another perspective to discover new possibilities!

This change hasn’t occurred over night. It has been brewing increasingly in a natural and organic pace.

These last few months I’ve just become much more aware of people’s never-ending hunt & harvest mentality when it comes to the latest trends or the newest hot commodity from the it-designer of the season. And believe me, I’ve been an active participant in this fashion-race. But now I’ve realized that it gave me N-O-T-H-I-N-G! I was never satisfied, I always wanted MORE. Not to mention, I was wearing the same items as everyone else. An actually I ended up feeling like a puppet without a mind of my own.

To me this revelation is quite disturbing. I’ve always had a strong sense of self  and I’ve always followed the beat of my own drum, but in some way I forgot about ME and MY own personal taste in exchange for the fashion industry’s convictions.

So how has my focus changed? Well, first of all I liberated my wardrobe from this seasons it-commodities, and damn, it felt good. I will from now on be much more picky when choosing which designer items I want to invest in from a perspective of what actually suits ME, MY life  and MY personal style.

My goal is to achieve a “sustainable wardrobe”, with timeless, classic pieces that I really truly appreciate and cherish.

My style is and has always been simple. A tight pair of jeans, a simple t-shirt, an oversized blazer a pair of ankle booties and an amazzzzzzing bag; that’s what I feel comfortable wearing and that’s how I feel at my best.

“Simplicity” and “Easy does it” are the Buzz-words that’ll define my future wardrobe. What’s yours?

Have someone ever told you to think good and hard about something before doing a purchase? Perhaps you’ve also had to hear claims about how you’ll enjoy your purchase even more when you wait, consider and save up for it. Well thats a LIE!

More than twice this season, I’ve done the mistake and wait (just for a nano sec) just to realize that my desired item was sold out worldwide.

These Nike air Vortex Vintage in the color Fireberry is just my latest example of a tragic love story.

The lesseon learned in this story? You snooze you loose or, when a pair of sneakers is holding the key to your happiness. Damn it!
